The Theatre is situated between the M3 and the A31, NE of Winchester.

How to reach The Grange:

From London, M3 J7 (Sat Nav SO24 9TZ)
  • Exit at junction 7, turn right over the motorway and left off the roundabout onto the A30 for Basingstoke. After a few hundred yards turn left to Kings Worthy on the A33.
  • Stay on the A33 for 8 miles. After the start of a dual carriageway section, turn left for Northington and the Candovers. After 2.5 miles, at the crossroads, turn right for Itchen Abbas.
  • After 0.5 miles turn left into Grange Park. Follow the Festival signs directing you to the site entrance.
From the South and West, M3 J9 (Sat Nav SO24 9TZ)
  • At junction 9, take the A34 exit to the Midlands / Newbury.  Keep in the right hand lane and continue onto the A33.
  • Stay on the A33 for 3 miles. After the start of a dual carriageway section, turn right for Northington and the Candovers. After 2.5 miles, at the crossroads, turn right for Itchen Abbas.
  • After 0.5 miles turn left into Grange Park. Follow the Festival signs directing you to the site entrance.
From Oxford, A303 (Sat Nav SO24 9TZ)
  • Take the A303 from Bullington Cross towards Basingstoke. After 4 miles, turn left (signposted to Overton) and turn right under the dual carriageway.  In less than a mile, at the crossroads, turn left.
  • Turn right at the major crossroad onto the A33 and, after 3.4 miles turn left (signposted Northington and the Candovers). After 2.5 miles, at the crossroads, turn right for Itchen Abbas.
  • After 0.5 miles turn left into Grange Park. Follow the Festival signs directing you to the site entrance.
From Alresford, A31 (Sat Nav SO24 9TG)
  • From West Street B3047, and with The Bell Inn on your left hand side, take the right turn onto Broad Street B3046 and continue along this road for approximately four miles.
  • Follow the Festival signs which will direct you to the site entrance.

THE FESTIVAL EXPRESS (June & July only)

COACHES
Coach companies should contact the Box Office in advance of bookings for site access instructions (NB no disabled access available from coaches).

 

TRAINS
Regular train services run from London Waterloo to Basingstoke and Winchester.

 

TAXIS
Taxis are available from Basingstoke (allow a 40 minute journey time to the Grange) and from Winchester (allow a 20 minute journey time to the Grange).  Please be sure to arrange your return journey in advance with your driver.

 

MOBILITY ACCESS
There is wheelchair access to the theatre and we can provide wheelchairs and further assistance with advance notification. The upper level of the theatre is unsuitable for guests with limited mobility, and due to the uneven ground around the site, mobility scooters are not permitted. Please call the Box Office if you have any questions about access or require any special assistance on the day.
