To launch our 2023 summer season double bill, Dido and Aeneas, we have a special screening of the acclaimed Tony Palmer film England, My England. It depicts the life of the composer Henry Purcell, seen through the eyes of a playwright in the 1960s who is trying to write a play about him.

Michael Chance, will be in conversation with Tony Palmer as a special introduction to the film, and perhaps talk a little about his own role in the film.
