After the most extraordinary 15 months I am absolutely overjoyed that we can at last dust off our aprons and return to our kitchen at The Grange.
Given the unprecedented times we are living in, 2021 will be a Festival like no other and this year’s Dining offering will reflect that. We have 5 set menus which will run across the Festival, both in the House and outside in the marquees and pavilions – Supper in the House and Supper in the Park.
One of the positive things about Covid is that it has given me the time to discover new suppliers and experiment with ingredients. We have an abundance of amazing food on our doorstep here in Hampshire and it is wonderful to be able to create menus around it. Who knew that we now have aubergines growing in the New Forest and Isle of Wight? As always, my menus will champion local, seasonal, ingredients and producers, combining the classic with the innovative.
Whatever Boris throws at us in the next few weeks, we want you to have a unique and theatrical experience which continues beyond the auditorium. Delicious, vibrant, interesting, generous food coupled with charming and efficient service is what it’s all about. I cannot wait to get back to doing what I do best – nourishing, nurturing, and putting a big smile on everyone’s faces. Food cooked with love.
