Support Learning
The Grange Festival Learning was established to complement the artistic excellence of The Grange Festival’s main programme by fostering creative engagement within the local community.
We have built strong connections with schools, colleges, and other organisations to offer annual interactive days and workshops in music and dance that extend beyond the national curriculum. In a time when arts education is increasingly limited, our aim is to provide the community with unconventional projects that encourage participants to see their lives from a new perspective, develop authentic and innovative self-expression, and explore the importance of creativity for mental well-being, both in daily life and for society as a whole. Through this, we hope to create opportunities for fun, enjoyment, and meaningful engagement.
Young Artists
Our Artistic Director, Michael Chance, combines his international singing career with a commitment to educating the next generation of artists. As a teacher at the Royal Academy, he helps guide emerging talent. Through our education fund, we offer grants and scholarships to singers who may need particular coaching for specific roles, repertoire, or language skills. We also support upcoming directors and conductors by providing assistant positions to promising practitioners, with plans to extend this mentoring scheme to other backstage roles. Beyond the summer season, we hold numerous networking events to showcase young talent and foster connections across the industry.
Support our Education Fund
Inspiring the next generation of music lovers and mentoring young artists is an important part of our mission to share our expertise. Our Education Fund supports a range of imaginative year-round activities.
