During the May half-term we invited 150 8-14 year-old children and their parents to an interactive workshop Barber of Seville:What’s it all about? giving them a fun introduction to opera before watching the final stage rehearsal of our 2018 production.

This interactive workshop was led by the dynamic team of Karen Gillingham and John Barber with the baritone Rob Gildon.

Karen is an experienced and talented leader who has worked on large scale youth and community projects with Royal Opera House, ENO, Garsington Opera and London Symphony Orchestra

John is a composer and workshop leader, with a passion for voices, drama and collaboration, he has worked on interactive projects with Royal Opera House, the Globe and Spitalfields Festival
