Join us at The Grange Festival Family Open Day on Saturday 16 May 2026 for a day of creativity, music, and behind-the-scenes magic in an inspiring and informal setting! Perfect for families and all ages, this interactive event offers hands-on experience with some of the creative work that goes into making opera, music, and theatrical productions come alive.

Throughout the day, families can take part in singing and dance workshops, try on stage costumes, make props, explore musical instruments, and enjoy creative face painting.

As well as the creative activities, visitors can explore the historic house and beautiful grounds, with plenty of space to relax and picnic. You’re welcome to bring your own food or visit our pop-up café.

Activities are most suitable for children aged 5–12, but all are welcome.
There are some safety hazards on our site, so children must be supervised by an adult at all times and all signs and barriers respected.
The event will take place rain or shine, with many activities under cover.
The site is not fully accessible, and some activities take place in areas with limited access. If you have specific access concerns, please contact us in advance.
Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted.
