Our ballet audiences are in for a real treat in 2020. We are so excited that our patron Edward Watson of The Royal Ballet will be performing a new work especially created for him by Mthuthuzeli November. Last year’s audiences were enthralled with the premiere of Mthuthuzeli’s WASHA:The Burn from the Inside performed by Ballet Black.
“As we all witnessed last year, Mthuthuzeli November is an exceptionally talented and passionate young choreographer. Building on our mission for Dance@TheGrange of commissioning new work and presenting dance pieces rarely seen in the UK we are delighted to invite Mthuthu back in 2020 to create a solo on Royal Ballet dance superstar Edward Watson.”
Wayne McGregor CBE, Director of Dance
Dress up and join us for an unforgettable summer’s evening at this spectacular country estate. Tucked away inside a Grecian temple, our theatre is one of the country’s most intimate settings to watch dance. A long 100-minute dining interval gives you time to drink in the atmosphere while you enjoy a picnic on the lawn or dinner in the romantic interiors of the historic mansion. This is a night of dance unlike any other.
Dance@TheGrange performances will be on 10 and 11 July 2020. Public booking for all five 2020 productions opens on 10 March. By joining our Festival Friends, you can secure your seats much sooner.
